Exclamation "IT TICKS ME OFF..." a thread to RANT then LET IT GO...

(I decided to start a new thread as the last "ticked off" thread was 10 pages long!)

It ticks me off when drivers don't pay attention to people trying to cross in a cross-walk!

Today I hesitated to cross as a car came speeding toward me... but the driver waved so I started across ... halfway he rolled down his window and said "don't worry, I wouldn't have hit you"... AND the CAR BEHIND him HONKED for him to move on! UNREAL, eh?!! I wasn't even out of the cross walk... the nerve of that woman... Where are the cops when you need them??? and why was she so important that she had to honk at a car that was stopping for a pedestrian?!!!

People, people, people... slow down, please!

Ok... now I let it go...

Still on motorists......

It ticked me right off today when I read in the newspaper about the large numbers of drink drivers, and speeding drivers, who are still being caught every single day of the week.

What will it take to finally get through to these people?

There are DUI offences every day.... there are speeding drivers caught every day.... there are road deaths every day! When will people finally put these things together and see the light?

That's my rant for today.

I cannot stand tail gaters. We have alot of deer around here, but people still tail gate. Then alot of them have to pass you when you are going the speed limit. I'll be going the speed limit,55,and others want to go 60,or more. What is this? Why do they want to do this?

On the Interstate,I usually flow with the traffic because I feel like a traffic danger going the speed limit. Why is this? What makes people want to exceed the speed limit?

Many times I pull over when I can,and let them go by. Then I can drive down the road in peace. I can also watch out for deer that jump out,and run in front of cars. It's one of the major causes of traffic accidents in this county. BF

Koala and BF - its a worldwide problem... speeders and deer on the road here, too. So many behave as if they are invincible... that they are more important than the next person ... and the end result is devastating ....

Ahh...
My rants this week fit right in...

I had a really bad day on Tuesday... Traffic was the main reason!

I hate it when traveling in a 55mph zone and getting stuck behind someone that refuses to go faster than 23mph. This is DANGEROUS!!

This person would go 55 in the no passing zones and would creep along at 23 in the short passing zones that always had oncoming traffic making passing impossible.

<----me today.

Yes. When people are going to slow, and you can't pass,it forms a train of cars, and frustrated drivers. I was stuck behind a car going about 20 mph under the speed limit. This makes me nervous because of the cars coming fast from the rear, and they have to slow down.

Then soon after I was going 55mph,in a 55mph zone, where State Police have radars, and I had a tail gater behind me. At times I could not see his Licence plate. He was a person in a truck, with latters on top of his truck. If I had to stop suddenly, those latters could end up in my car, hitting me. #%&#%# BF

Thats a scarey thought BF! Watching something unsafe on another vehicle is very disconcerting! We really have to be "defensive" drivers, eh.

When I say goodbye to someone going off in a car, I often say "Watch out for the other guy!"

Abbie, I'm glad you're happier today. I'm happier, too.
Can't do nothing about those crazy drivers except to try not to be one ourselves!

Look out.... here come winter and snow (except for you Koala... do you get snow in the area you live in at this time of year?)...

I have another!

Yesterday I finally bought myself a new cell phone. The one I loved so much up, and expired last week .... without my permission, may I add!

I could dial out, but the LED screen had passed it's "use by date" and decided that black was a good color.... and it refused to budge.

You can imagine my angst when I was getting messages coming through to a black screen! Helloooooo!

So ..... I buy this new, wonderful, expensive new phone that does everything except cook the evening meal, but I couldn't work it!

I tried making an outgoing call. Nope! Not a thing!

I tried sending messages! Nope! Nothin'..!

Today I had to go back to the place where I bought it to get a driving lesson, only to find that the new server that I'd just changed to, had decided (in it's wisdom) to put a block on all out going calls from my phone.

Not only did they block all my outgoing phone calls, but there was also a block on all messages as well!

I daresay that's a good way for them to save money .... considering this one came with free messages, and lots of free phone calls. I guess it keeps their bill down if people like me can't call out!

Sort of makes you wonder why you changed to a new server, doesn't it?
