Default Sony Cybershot Driver

I had to change computers and my Sony Cybershot is not compatible with Windows Vista. Does anyone know if, and where, I can download free the driver? Do you think that will make it compatible?
Thank you!

If those don't work what about getting a USB card reader ?
any size camera memory card will work with those.

the one I have is a Sony - camera is a Olympus. no driver needed - just reads the pictures and copies then to computer.

I also saw a post on a site about some computers having a built in card reader.. does yours have any small slots on the front or anywhere - that might be it.

Usually it would be a grouping of small thin slots with a few different sizes.

Or post your computer name and model and I can look it up to see if it has them.

That is a good idea--just using the card... I hope the format is recognized however. I bought my card reader at Tiger Direct. It was about $20.

Some SLR's take pics in RAW format, and if you don't have a computer graphics program that reads RAW...the pictures won't come over.

Most laptops have card readers. This one which is not new has one. So do most towers now too.

We had someone in the past whose Sony would not hook up..but I don't recall it was a Vista issue.

Your camera should have come with a disc...I have Vista and use a Cybershot. Vista automatically picked up the drivers I needed, never downloaded anything.

My printer has slots for camera card, but not my laptop, never use them anyway.lol
Glad you got it worked out.
