Default spinal disorers and neck pain

hi every one had head on collision in sept 09 my x rays and mri are the following c4c5 diffuse disc bulg efacing thecal sac mild impression on the cord itself c5c6 broad based moderate left paramedian disc herniation with effacement of the thecal sac and immpression on the cord itself c6c7 diffuse disc bulge efacing the thecal sac and just impinging upon the cord itself the xrays saymild to moderate c4 c5 c5 c6 disc thinning moderatly severe scoliosis to the left in lumbar spine l1l2l2l3 disc thining but difficult to evaluate due to scoliosis my question is this is it normal to be sent to all these spesialist like neurolalgist and neuro seurg and have emg test scared about emg test my complaints are neck hurts mildly some numbness in both hands and pt found some weekness in tricep and some muscle twiting thank for any info

It sounds like the doctors want to make sure something isn't seriously wrong?

Some others should be along who have more knowledge in this area. Take care and try not to worry too much.

The best one to ask is the one that proposes the test.
That is the time to ask why it is thought necessary.
You must take an active role in your treatment and diagnosis.
Ask until you understand.
And don't be afraid to question or query their proposals.
