Default Cervical fusion plate issues

I had cervical fusion with bone grafts at C 3-4, C 4-5 and C 5-6 in 2005. Especially in cold weather, I feel and hear what I would describe as expanding and contracting, some clicking or popping. I am told by some that this is fairly normal. My brother had a similar operation and he says it happens. On my last x-ray (for an unrelated matter) I could see the plate and it looks normal. Should I worry?

Well, Is there any pain involved? I have the same issues and my neck cracks too. It is creepy. I had an ACD & F spinal diskectomy(C5-C6). We are in the same area except u had a few more. I feel I am going to have to go back and have my C4 and my C7 done. I hurt so badly in my neck, but I have a CM so it could be that. I don't think u have anything to worry @ unless there is a lot of pain. They told me that my neck is stronger now than it ever was..hope this was helpful Take care and always GOD BLESS..Karen
