Smile My first christmas in heaven...

This past March my brother past away because of lung cancer…last night one of his daughters sent this poem to me. It touched my heart in a special way and I wanted to share it with those I care about that might have also lost a loved one…

MY FIRST CHRISTMAS IN HEAVEN...

I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below,
with tiny lights, like heaven's stars reflection in the snow.

The sight is spectacular so please wipe away your tears.
For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year!

I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear.
But, the sound of music can't compare with the Christmas
choir up here.

I have no words to tell you, but the joy their voices bring
is far beyond description to hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me; I see the pain
inside your heart. But I am not so far away, we really aren't apart!

Be happy for me, my dear ones, you know I hold you dear.
Be glad I'm spending Christmas with Jesus Christ
this year.

I send you each a special gift from my Heavenly home above
I send you each a memory of my undying love!

"LOVE is the gift more precious than gold"
It was always most important in the stories Jesus told.

Please love and keep each other, as our Father said to do.
I can't count the blessing of LOVE He has for each of you.

So have a Merry Christmas and wipe away that tear.
Remember...I'm spending Christmas with Jesus Christ
this year.

Wait, part of that is a poem by a man that is part of the funeral home I used for my baby daughters funeral. No really, it is copywrited.. we lost her in july of 1998, and that first Christmas I package arrived at my door..a box inside it was a wrapped gift....when I opened it.. it was a picture framed poem.. similar to the one you posted... the background paper had a teddy bear sitting by a Christmas tree.... on back was the copyright thing and a note... telling the story of the man who wrote it. Soon after the family of this funeral home lost the grandmother one of them wrote the poem. Mooney I think last name is...

anyhow...cool poem huh... and what a touching gift for this funeral home to send out to each and every person that has a funeral done there...the first Christmas after a loss... cool ... hugss, sarah
