Default HUA closes an Iowa puppy mill

My loving Hearts United for Animals rescued 13 furbabies on New Year's Eve, closing the mill for good. Now these precious ones are safe and warm and well fed.

That would be to good for them! they should be made to live in a cage in thier own bodily waste, without food or water for days at a time!

Yeah Jaded, you're right! I just wanted to find some way to keep the puppy mill owner population down. Afterall, we don't have an animal control problem, we have a people control problem.

Cheers
p.s. That baby is soooooooo cute it cheers me up just looking at your avitar.

We could only hope Ms. Alffe that that's the truth. People don't understand that pet store dogs are mill dogs. No reputable breeders sell their dogs to pet stores.

Yes, I too would like to see the puppy mill breeders made to live in the freezing cold and horrid heat in the same small cage for days, weeks, months, and years on end...never able to leave that cage with no medical care, no food, no water. Hose them down with cold water when they start to stink!

Thanks Doody! I'd gladly foster a Papillon (or a couple) if I were closer. #7 looks a lot like my Rudy. They are such great, loving, forgiving little dogs. So smart and funny. They so deserve to be treated well. All they need is a chance. Rudy came around so fast, you'd be proud.

You should see him with my granddaughter - they were bred to look after little kids and he watches her like a hawk. Nothing could happen to her without Rudy knowing. He's her playmate and nanny lol. I never needed a baby monitor.

They don't sell puppies in pet stores in Ohio and it should be like that everywhere. You can go see the adoptables in pet stores, but you have to fill out adoption forms ahead of time and have a home-check in advance. It's not like you can walk in, see a dog and walk out with one. No chance for silly people like ME to make knee jerk puppy purchases this way.

Aw, I fell in love with Papillons after the fantastic Best in Show win of Ch Loteki Supernatural Being - better known as Kirby - at the annual Westminster Kennel Club dog show in 1999! He really stole that show!

Not long after that 1999 show, I was visiting an online friend from the Chicago area. When we were at the Navy Pier one day a lady walked by with 2 of the black and whites that looked just like Loteki! They were absolutely fascinating and adorable!

So hmmm, why do I have a wiener at my house, LOL!

Here's Kirby.
