Since I've switches computers, when I email pictures they turn out too big to view easily. Not sure if it's in the settings or the way I have the picture saved....Any idea??? Thanks!

Which email program are you using?

Thunderbird? {this is the one I know best - it has a Image Properties screen that allows you to set a smaller size}

Outlook or OE express? {it should have a size setting similar to Thunderbird}

Or online - what kind of webmail?

For some email - you do have to make the photo smaller before sending.

There are photo editing & resizing programs but if you just need to re size once in awhile and don't want to download anything you can do it this way.
this one seems to have good reviews-
[A pull-down list lets you resize images to make them suitable for e-mailing, burning to a photo disc, displaying in an instant-messenger program, or publishing online. The Make It Fit utility helps you find image parameters that will create a file of a specific size.]

-- copy the picture, then you have the original and you can experiment with the copy.

select the copy and right click -choose open with Paint,
Paint should open with the pic already on the screen
then go to Image , then stretch/skew.

I use 50 in both boxes to reduce it by half to see the size at that point.
then you can reduce it again if it still looks really big.

you can try other % and if it gets too small or the size doesn't work just click the Edit /undo to go back to the previous size.

when you get a size that looks right then select save or save as -if you want to change the name.

then that smaller size is the one to use for emails.

I think most of the webmail programs will need to have the picture re sized before sending in an email.

Here's an online site that lets you resize , it will take a while for the process to get finished.
