Towards the top left of this page, immediately above your User name, you'll see the name of this forum: "Computers and Technology" .

Above that is a thick line with lots of words on it.... the first one being User CP. That is your User Control Panel.

Under that heading are several groups. Your Profile, Networking, Settings & Options etc. The second heading down under Settings & Options you will see : Edit Signature. Click that.

You will get two main sections opening. The first is where you put your signature in using words, and links.....eg. to smilies, or images from another site.

Under that is a seperate section called : Signature Picture .

That's where you change add or change a picture in your signature.

I hope that helps.

Did you find it and figure it all out yet?

from our NT FAQ's page -

[Signatures, Avatars and Profile Pictures section

What are signatures?

'Signatures' contain information that you want to include at the bottom of all your posts. This might include pictures, links to your site(s), quotes, etc.

What are avatars?

Avatars are small images that people use to identify or distinguish themselves to other forum members. In some cases the administrator will not allow avatars or only allow them for specific members. The administrator can also provide some stock avatars people can use, or they can allow members to upload their own custom avatars from their own computers. These avatars will be displayed as part of the user info in posts, as well as in the public profile.

For more information about avatars, please click here.

What are profile pictures?

Profile Pictures are photos members can upload that will display in their public member profile. This option may or may not be enabled by the administrator.

How do I set signatures, avatars and profile pictures?

You can set and change your signature, avatar and profile picture in the User Control Panel (providing the administrator has made these options available).

For signatures, click on 'Edit Signature' {[http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/profile.php?do=editsignature}under the 'Settings and Options' area of the navigation bar within the User CP.

To select an existing or upload a new avatar, click on 'Edit Avatar'.{http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/pr...do=editavatar]

To upload a profile picture, click on 'Edit Profile Picture' in the 'Your Profile' section.]
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/fa...atures_avatars

you might need to re size some images to fit for siggy -
[Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 200 pixels or 24.4 KB (whichever is smaller).]

Confused Invalid file??

Well how embarrasing. When trying to upload from my photoBucket stash for a signature change. I keep getting "Invalid file". I copy it with the img. code. Can I be any more stupid than this? In the effort to change the sig, I
ended up with thumper as an addition!! Didn't mean to do that. YIKES! Thank you for what help you give me, Doodle bug7

Did you paste it into the signature box?
Did the whole text of the IMG code get copied?

I'd try it again or maybe with another pic to see if that one works for you.

might have been a bad code or not all of it copied.

Lightbulb

Go into the signature panel. Where you see [sigpic][/sigpic]
highlight each pair you want to delete and hit the delete button on your keyboard.

That will remove the picture. [sigpic]is the command for that location.

I can delete them all if that will be easier for you?

But if you want to try again-
another way to remove all signatures -
just highlight everything in the box and hit your delete button.
then be sure to hit the "save" to finalize the changes.

Default Fell into place

You know how eventually things just fall in to place. It is like if you show someone how to fish, he will forget. But if you teach him, he will have the knowledge for a lifetime. I thank you for your time and patience. I won't bring up the sig pic again Jo*Mar. hehe
Mrs. D you are great, and all the others that put up with me and have been so kind. (I feel like I am thanking the academy.) Doodle bug7
