Default Backpay

We used our kids backpay money to pay back credit card debts and other things we got so far behind on. I waited 3 1/2 years for my case to be won so I needed to use their money as well to pay back things.

As far as the ex goes that is probably something for your lawyer to answer for you. I have been told they do not really keep close tabs on how the money is spent. As long as they see your children are taken care of and you are not blowing it as far as gambling or drinking it all up.

If I were you pinkkolaid I would call his caseworker if you have access to that. I know I've seen them take child support out of IRS money but I'm not sure about Social Security. Is it disability? I hope he realizes that if he gets stopped by a traffic stop he could end up in jail, for not paying back child support.

Just wondering have you got your sons ssi and how long did it take you to get it. It's a long process....and I'm becoming impatient is all I've received first three of SSI payments. but not backpay yet.
