Angry If I get one more political phone call...

Three calls within five minutes asking for Jim.

Of course I knew what it was about by the way they started reading their script.

I was just asked if I have decided not to be a Democrat! I told him I do not vote Republican or Democrat, I vote for who I think will do the best job. Then he starts his script again. I told him if he so much as calls one more time I will vote Republican just to spite him.

Then right after I get a call and no one talks. Wonder who that was?

Not two minutes later some chick wanting to talk to Jim about green energy and blah blaa blah. Told her to stop calling too.

Argh, why doesn't the do not call list include these annoying people? It's like when you donate to a charity and the amount you give is just not enough that they bombard you will mail and phone calls.

I quit! Where is that low guy on the totem pole that gets only one vote?

Are you kidding me? They call here all the time. Maybe it's because Jim has been involved with getting medical mj passed and called a ton of politicians?

No good deed goes unpunished.

Sandy,
I've been getting "blocked" calls on my cell phone. I would answer and hang up if I didn't hear a response immediately.
DH, who works for AT&T, said give it several seconds, it might be an 800 number that's dialing, they take awhile to answer. So I did, and guess what? It was some shill dialing for dollars...I said I don't contribue over the phone, and she hung up!!

Tell them when they call to take you off of their "do not call" list. It is illegal to call anyone who makes this request.

I do tell them but they just get someone else to call. I can tell it's local peeps because they are using their land/cell phones.

We don't answer the phone anymore. Everyone who knows us leaves a message, and we call back.

We are on so many "lists" they call day and night weekends, everything. The call blocking list does not work for everything.

Lately there have been offers for "seniors" calling here to rope us into something we should best avoid.

Stop answering the phone...that is the only way to beat them out these days. Important calls will leave a message.

Our home line has call blocking features. We had about 6 800#s that called daily during the 08 elections. They now get the you are blocked message and the call doesn't go through.

Also our phones have this neat "talking" caller ID system. If the number is in our call list it says who is calling. I do not answer any call that is not identified.

No one has my cell number except family, my son's school and my neighbors.
