Default Anyone experience tremors with Cellcept?

I have been on Cellcept now for about 5 weeks. I started out at 1,000 mg a day and this week went up to 2,000 mg daily. It is definitely helping with my weakness already but since upping my dose this week I have noticed that my hands are shaking alot. I know this is one of the side effects listed but am wondering if this is a side effect that will get better as I adjust to the new dose? Is it possible 2,000 mg is too much for me? I will call my Neuro Mon and run it by him but wanted to see if anyone one here has had tremors. I have been lucky so far and not had any major side effects outside of loss of appetite and headaches but the tremors are very bothersome. It makes me feel even weaker than before and I feel clumsy from the shaking.
I hope all of you are doing well.
Thanks,
Kendra

Default No tremors here.

I've been on cellcept for 10 years and am currently taking 3,000/day. I haven't had any tremors with it.

The only tremors I have had have been when on high does prednisone (60 mg/day)

I am now weaning down and am currently on 25/day which has eliminated the tremors.

Good luck.

Default anyone experience tremors with cellcept?

Shari and Juanitad,
Thank you for your replies. I will call the Dr this morning and let you know what he says. Maybe I am wrong in calling them tremors.... what it is is that my hands shake so bad at times I can see them trembling. I am still on 25 mg of pred so maybe it is related to that and not the cellcept. I feel like I am on so many meds it is hard to know what side effect is related to what med.
Thanks,
Kendra

I had tremors when I was on CellCept but the cause turned out to be Advair in combination with prednisone. Stopped the Advair (or reduced - I can't remember anymore) and it stopped. Even my tongue had a tremor in it. I was on 3 grams of CellCept at the time so it was a concern, as tremors are a known side effect of CellCept. CellCept never did anything positive for me, and I felt a lot better after going off of it. Different folks, different strokes.

Kendra,
How are you doing? What did the doctor say about your tremors?

Blessings,
Shari

Default anyone experience tremors with Cellcept?

Hi Shari,
Thank you for asking how I am. I really appreciate that. I am doing ok. The Dr. thinks it is more nervousness the med is causing than tremors. I do feel very agitated and nervous at times from it. We are going to give it a while longer and see if it gets better. I took a long walk today and it helped so much. Maybe I need to exercise more when I can. Hope you are doing well.

Bill,
Thanks for the reply. I am still on pred too so maybe that is playing a part in this. I definitely feel like I am seeing improvement from the Cellcept so I am hopeful it is doing it's job. Sorry to hear it didn't work for you. Have you found another med that helps you?

Here is one thread I found on cellcept, I'm sure I was reading one yesterday, but my brain is refusing to coperate at the moment, so I can't find anything else.
