Default The KISS approach to a cure...it will take longer than 5 years!

Hey,

I thought it would be fun to share the silly, absurd side of living with PD while that cure remains elusively out just out of reach. Oh, btw, I've changed KISS to mean "Keep it Simple and Sarcastic" I figure we could post anything with the potential to be sarcastic, ironic, absurd, etc. about this disorder, but it has to involve something in the real world. Here goes...

Best potential curative approach of the decade: From a study published in 2008: One Sleepless Night Increases Dopamine In The Human Brain Doesn't it stand to reason that if we do that like at least one night a week, we will s-l-o-w-l-y cure ourselves? I mean it took around 10 years to reach this spot, so it stands to reason that it will take at least five years for this to to work. I am confident, that I can double my cure rate by extending it to two nights a week. What I love about this is that my body wants to be up all night anyway, so to you it may look like an excuse to eat a gigantic bowl of Cookie Crisp but really I am just tuning in with my brain's natural ability to heal itself.

Sounds good to me as I sit here eating a bowl of cereal at 4:45 am. I see you posted an hour ago. I was up, but not on Neurotalk.

Default Good thinking

my personal goal is to stay awake two nights in a row so i can double the increase and be cured in half the time.

Sleep is just an addiction. Go cold turkey on it.

Laura: if I stop sleeping starting this evening do you think I will be cured by Christmas? Better yet, by my 79th birthday in October! Bob C

Bob,

I think you have a very good chance of either...especially if you supplement with green tea

I figure I can't lose...I am up all night anyway thanks to Cymbalta, but at least I am 'happy" about it.
