one way to explain antibiotics for PD is as follows:
Antibiotics kill bacteria
infection is cleared,
immune cells are not activated
so inflammation goes down
immune system calms down
cells that produce cytokines die or stop cytokine production
Inflammation and immune responses in brain decrease
regulatory T cells suppress immune responses in hte brain.
Microglia are no longer activated
Neurons are saved
