Default What's on your plate?

Lot's going on at our house...looking forward to my nephew and his wife coming for a short visit...he is a vegetarian (not the only one in our extended family) so that's always fun to find a menu that's compatible.

It's highly likely that my retired husband will be going back to work soon and that will take some getting used to for all of us (not sure Cassie will like that at all and I have mixed feelings about it myself)

A lot of people in this sos family of ours are struggling and I just hate that. Please remember to talk about what you are feeling and let us help you by listening...it's fine to vent here...what ever helps.

Oh....Lonely1...it's called supper here in Northern Indiana...BMW is onto something.

Today - after miserable phone calls to various "important" people - I'm working on wall hangings for Sunday School rooms .... and stuff for the kids "art" lessons Sunday night.

Here in the middle of the USA, very rural, we always called the evening meal "supper" .... "Dinner" was what you ate at noon. When I grew up and joined the sophisticated world I learned I should call the evening meal "dinner".
Around here it's common to hear "supper" or "dinner"

Wren...I just ask...you people coming to eat?
Goofy...hope you get that vacation for as long as possible.
Alffie...ummm you best do something good for you today.

Lonely...good luck, hope you find the right job for you.
I was offered a job in the area that I was in before having to stop working. Only problem was getting to work, so I had to pass, I would have loved to take it. They were willing to accommodate for the MS, but I sold my vehicle last year.

My son and DIL are divorcing after being together for 18 years, 15 of them as married. My GS(7) seems to be adjusting well, I am having more of a problem. Since they split, I've seen my GS about five times as compared to every weekend and summers.

My DH can't find a job to supplement our income...but I'm still on top of ground which is better than below it pushing up weeds. It is really hard to adjust at times with all that life throws at you, a chronic illness which has progressed, family/friends giving up because they can't find the strength to continue, family seeming to dissolve, financial stress and just trying to keep some fashion of logic to get up each morning.

It can be done...you will never hear me sugar coat it by saying it's easy, just put two feet on the floor. Putting those two feet on the floor is sometimes the greatest achievement of the day.

Remember, take time to be good to yourself. Today after I finally put two feet on the floor, I made a big cup of coffee, ate a big cinnamon roll and went to my peaceful place and enjoyed it. I didn't think about all the stress, nor the bills, or family problems...just enjoyed that one cup of coffee while my pups played. I focused completely on them and nothing else.

What are you going to do today for YOU, just for YOU...remember, don't make Momma come smack ya cause you ain't taking care of you.

Great that you have a long weekend now Goofy and hopefully you'll be able to enjoy the full week on vacation.

I'll sit on the steps.
