Default Come on up on the porch...

How do you like the flower garden? Yep, ya pappy did a good job pullin all those weeds and spreadin this purty red cedar mulch. I was so shocked I had to check twice to make shore it wuz him.

It has been so hectic, I think we'll load up and take a drive, ain't nothing like a nice drive when it gets this hot...then we can come back and make ice scream. Come on now, grab all the pillows and throw em in the back, everybody find a seat, put on yo sunshades and straw bonnets, here we go.

Doesn't that breeze feel nice, and look, go slow now pappy...we don't want to hit any those ducklins fallin behind. Lordie bless, she got almost as many youngins as me. Mine's purttier though. Hold on babies these ole clay roads get a lil bumpy this time o year. Look, there's Mr. Delma's horses, ain't that a purty sight. Just look at that sight!! Those horses against that blue horizon, those big ole oak trees and just look at that color of green grass. Yep, ain't that a sight to ease the troubled soul. Babies, don't forget to wave as we pass, don't matter if you know them or not, it's what we do, being neighborly.

Look at those fields of young cotton, yep, when it blooms out it will look like snow has covered the fields. There are those Dillby twins swimmin in the pond, bet they skinny swimmin they are such rascals. You know most folks can't tell them apart, but one has itty bitty scar under his right eye. I see the Parnel's wavin us down. Wonder if they need something? Eber parnel, you know I ain't never turned down a cold watermelon, or cantaloupe.lol
Ok, you babies be careful getting out and mind yer manners, I see a few peach trees that can make a good switch. Thank you kindly for the fresh peaches, Miss Julia.

Ok, let's load up, we need to start back home...everybody inside? We have one more stop before we head towards home. Ok, jump out and get in a line, hand on shoulder of the one in front and close yo eyes. NO PEEPING TOMS!!

Ok, open yer eyes and go jump in...yep we gonna take a few minutes to cool off in Mr Viv's pond. You all be careful jumping off that dock, and watch out for each other. Don't this water feel nice and cool, and I got some water spurts for each of ya...no puttin out eyes now with those water shots. lol
Load up, we got to get going, next stop is Pop's General Store...go on in and get ya a soda.

Whewwwiiiee...that was fun but I am shorely tired, let's get that ice cream churned. MMMMMM, this is better than Ben and Jerry's cause we all sharing it right here. We'll just sit around and talk a spell before we turn in for another fine day. Life is not always about theme parks, sometimes, its simple lil things that make life fun with family.

Remember to always do something good for you each day!!

I remember when people used to wave at each other. Whether you knew them or not.......it was just what we did. Of course, there weren't as many cars on the road then. I miss that, though. People used to be friendlier.....

Thanks for the ride, Momma. And the ice cream!
