It will say in the approval letter how often you will get reviewed. Hopefully it will be the 5-7 yr review(more than likely not to return to work). I think thats just a few questions and nothing too do with medical reports(don't quote me). Best thing too do is to go at least 3-4 times a yr to your doctors.

Mine says Dec 2011...I got approved this past May. I am nervous...that sounds like they expect me to get better even though in the past 10 years I have only gotten worse.

Default follow-up exams

From what my attorney explained to me, if your approval doesn't specify permanent disability, you have to be re-evaluated. He said it would be yearly, but it was five years before I got a form. All I had to do at that time was to answer the questions. It said I would be subject to future re-evaluation and/or exams.

One thing that is very important is to keep a yearly calendar or journal of all of the doctor appointments you have, when, why, what happened, and a list of medications - that should be able to be obtained from the drugstore. You have to continue to get follow-up visits, even if your doctor says this is your condition, we can't do anything for you, whatever. You have to prove there is a continuing problem. A lot of specialists won't consider a problem to be serious unless you are on medication.

I had to report the number of times I had been to doctors and hospital visits for the prior year. It could have been a lot worse as far as what I was required to do.

All you have to do is call the 800 number and they can find the review date in your file. That's how I found out my review date.

Just called SSA. They said there was no medical review scheduled for me. They said its possible not to get reviewed(depending on your conditon or conditions). There still is a chance for a review down the road.
