Thumbs down Gotta love hormones--NOT!!!!!!! :(

So, I said I knew this weigh-in was gonna be brutal...and I was right. Hormonal h3ll packed more than 2 lbs back onto me, courtesy of--mostly--the week's voracious hunger. I know it'll be gone next week, but it shoots my blood sugar (which is already low) down to nothing, and if I don't eat constantly, I get sick and can even go into seizure (which, fortunately, I don't, usually). I hate hormones, and I hate my dang brain. It's harder that I'm the only one in the family with any med issues. I sure wouldn't wish 'em on my parents or sibs, but being stuck with it all just sucks.

Oh Liz! What a nightmare! Is there anyway your docs can stabilize you?

Thanks, hon'.

I actually haven't been to an endo for a LONG time because when I gained all the weight, my glucose was blessedly normal for the first time in my entire life, and I figured it would come down again once I started shedding the weight again, but dang...I sure didn't think it'd kick my @$$ this bad. Thank God, it's only during periods that it's unbearable (actually for about 3-5 days before it), but that still means I essentially have to plan to gain at least once a month just 'cause o' that. Grr...

I think I am gonna seek one out and see what I can do about it, 'cause it really ticks me off. The rest of the month, I do so well. It feels really self-defeating. Even though it's like my simple partial seizure clusters in that I know it'll pass, and I'll walk on, I'd certainly just as soon not have to deal with it; y' know? Maybe I'll do some diggin' this week and see.
