Senate Passes ‘Doc Fix’ — But Only a One-Month Patch

Wall Street Journal, November 19, 2010, 9:33 AM ET
Read the balance of this item: http://blogs.wsj.com/health/2010/11/...mod=WSJ_health

The good news is that the Senate passed a so-called doc fix yesterday, which if also passed by the House would avert steep cuts to Medicare physician reimbursement due to kick in Dec. 1.

The bad is that the fix is good for only one month, which could make for an unpleasant and uncertain holiday season for physicians as a longer-term patch is hammered out.
