Default Tip for breaking a freeze

At least this works for me. This week.

When I freeze I don't fool around. Crawl or fall becomes my motto. But I found something a few days ago that, thus far, breaks up the freeze pretty thoroughly and almost immediately.

If I take something about the size of a golf ball or larger and begin passing it back and forth from hand to hand, the freeze disappears almost completely.

Now, I've had my share of temporary miracles, so I will enjoy this while I can, but I have to wonder what this says about what's going on.

Currently (2011) taking 200/50 Sinemet CR 8 times a day + 10/100 Sinemet 3 times a day. Functional 90% of waking day but fragile. Failure at exercise but still trying. Constantly experimenting. Beta blocker and ACE inhibitor at present. Currently (01/2013) taking ldopa/carbadopa 200/50 CR six times a day + 10/100 form 3 times daily. Functional 90% of day. Update 04/2013: L/C 200/50 8x; Beta Blocker; ACE Inhib; Ginger; Turmeric; Creatine; Magnesium; Potassium. Doing well.

Until we have a few more permanent miracles, we'll take what we can get

I am beginning to wonder if these little temporary miracles are really just dormant compensatory measures springing to life once again, or new ones that have yet to realize their fullest potential. If they appear suddenly and fleetingly, surely they can be convinced to stick around and help us out. How do we do that?

I wonder if novelty is a factor in this - anything new is grabbing attention in a different way and we perhaps have new expectations of it - or use new pathways or something---after a number of experiences, we kind get habituated and nothing responds - maybe the challenge is to keep the novel aspect going - toss objects, play soccer, sing, tapdance, whatever, but change it up?
