Default Sad thread aboutmy Paulie

After a lot of soul searching and sadness, I am going to have to give my Paulie back to my cousin. Giving him up is like giving a child away that dearly loves me and I dearly love him. He has been my joy, baby, friend, silly boy, watch bird, button biter (likes to snapem off my blouse), Zoe's friend and we have been one of his flock. I am going to be so sad and yet he will go back to his origional Mama, and be cared for so very lovenly, so he want suffer for anything. It is myself that will bear the pain of giving him back. I plan to be strong, hold onto the Lord and use prayer, as we go through this difficult time with losing such a precious little bird. I can't really explain it all here, yet believe me it is a necessary and I am sure the right thing to do. I can still visit my "good-boy" at my cousins house and tell him I love him.

Will have to watch what I eat so I want get upset and start eating again. This kind of sadness can trigger an emotional benge of wild proportions!Chocolate candy, cookies, fudgescicles, you name it. I am going to try to keep my head and remember eating wont change anything but my clothes size.

Hope yall can understand that I do really love this fellow but have to do this hard thing for my own health and for my hubby. Can't say anymore about it cause I will cry.

Arrow Was surprise about Paulie~

When is Paulie leaving Gaye? I don't think we discussed that. Yes, you will be losted for awhile, I'm sure. Paulie, will be too, for I just bet you have gave him a lot of loving care and the things he says are so cute.

If you think it is best, then maybe it is. I hope you both make the adjustment well. Being able to go and see him will be nice, especally at first, for both of you.
hugs,
BC

Gaye's sweet Paulie!

NOOOOO! Not Paulie! I just love the stories and pictures you share with us. I totally understand about making the choice to take care of you first and he may be too much for you now. But have you thought about the fact that he may be helping you? Brings you up when you are down, gives unconditional love and just being Paulie is enough too.
I hope that you can visit him whenever you want.
Such sadness.

Red face

So sorry that you have to let him go.
I am sure that you are making the right decision here.
Do you have any other pets?

Dear Gaye;

I am so sorry that you have to go through this right now. You are such a loving, giving soul that this kind of thing should never happen to you, you do not deserve it. But your little dog Zoe is the 2nd cutest dog ever!!!(I'm so sorry, my Tootsie is #1 with me :-) Those of us who love our animals care for them as deeply as we would any other member of our family so I understand your grief. We all love you here and hurt along with you.

Love,
Nancy

At least Paulie is still in the family- and not having to go to a stranger.
I know you both will miss each other, I hope they are near so you can visit.

Thanks befuddled, Hugs back.

I think he is leaving by this weekend Billie, my cousin said she would try not to be over a week so it want prolong my pain over giving him up. Thanks for posting my sweet babies pics. Hugs.

Wendy I wish I could keep him...there is more to the story than I can say on here. I will just have to think of the things he has said and done, and will have a beautiful picture on my wall, my Son made for me, of Zoe and Paulie.

Thanks Bizi...you have probably seen little Zoe's pic by now. She is a sweet heart, she licks Paulie on his face! He follows her around the living room. Paulie can even say her name and when she barks at a cat in the yard, Paulie yells "a cat a cat"!

For those of us that are kitty lovers, Zoe likes them when she sees them in the Vet and at the Pet store. I can't let them stay in the back yard, cause I have lots of squirrels, birds, and chipmunks I feed. Have to tell the Hawk to go away too!

Thank you Nancy, we need a pic of Tootsie, of course she is the #1!
Zoe helped me shop in the pet store for Paulies's going away gifts. Have to admit she got a toy too. Zoe rode her stroller into the store...yep...it's hers. Spoiled baby! LOL I am going to try to keep a good spirit around Paulie so he wont feel the stress and get stressed too. I will smile when he leaves and tell'm Mama loves him...then I don't know what will happen.

Thanks Jo55, my cousin is about 15 minutes from my house. I will still visit my little man. Wont be the same as having him here with his mama an hearing him call out mama, mama.

Thanks Shelley he gets excited when my cousing comes to visit him here. He still loves her and she is a very good bird-mama. That is what helps so much knowing my cousin will have him with her an he will be happy there. Couldn't stand to give him to a stranger. Even a wonderful bird loving stranger. Ouch, it would hurt so bad right now, to even think of him not going back to his "big-bird". My cousin is not big at all,. LOL That is what she calls herself with Paulie...I think it's a cute name for her.

Thanks again yall for your care and love.
