Default Have you ever won anything?

I was the 1st caller this morning to the radio station (after they gave the code-word) and won two steak dinners!

20 min. later they were giving away a couple of tickets to see a Billy Dean concert, and I was the correct caller (#5). When the lady asked me my name, she said I couldn't win twice in one day!

How about you all? Did you ever win anything?

When I was 6, I won a trip for the whole family to Frontier Town (in NY). It included overnight in a hotel, but my Dad didn't want to stay.

A few years ago I won a swimming costume and tickets to a concert in the same month, but my best win was the jackpot from a 1cent slot machine..... a little over $27,000

Twink, I did the call-in thing, too, to a radio station. I had to name a particular song (after being the correct number caller) and I won $1,000! I was SO excited but.......I was at work (this was years ago) and I couldn't express my enthusiasm like I wanted to because I didn't want everyone to know I was goofing off on the phone calling in to a radio station! We used the money for the boys Christmas that year. It really helped out! DH didn't believe me until he drove me all the way downtown to the radio station to pick it up about a month later!

wow. Some of you have the luck. That's amazing.

One of my neighbours keeps winning money in the lotto. Not just a few dollars either. I wonder though how much they may spend to win that. I am a pretty private person so wouldn't ever like to ask. lol. eeek

The first thing I ever won was a cup and saucer set in an egg and spoon race when I was around 6 or 7. I was a "brownie"... a young Girl Guide or ranger you may call it, not sure. I've won a few dollars here and here in gifts on birthdays from scratch-its. The cup and saucer set so sticks in my mind!

won $60 from the casino - only used a roll of nickels ($2) ...

I remember when my friend won a Caribbean cruise from her bank for making the most 'sales' (i.e.: encouraging peops to open accounts, apply for debit cards and credit cards!) .. it was a 4-day thing - all expenses paid! sweet! can't remember if it was after 3-mon time window or what ...

p.s. it was a one-time deal going to the casino with a friend ... he wanted to go - otherwise, I don't really bother ...

How does a 6 yo win a trip?

Cups and saucers, swimming suits, BIG bucks, cruises. Kewl!

I won a trip to the State Fair lots of years ago and a night's stay at a motel.

But a cruise, now THAT would be nice. But so would $27,000!!!

A 6 year old enters a contest by writing a "Why I want to win a trip to Frontier Town" and mentions that "When I grow up I want to be a cowgirl and so does my brother."
