Default vertigo ... when laying down ..turning over

do you have vertigo in a standing position or only laying down??

And...does it seem right that after an entire year of PCS (which I'm off balance all day) I would acquire vertigo?? What is this all about?

Room spins when I lay down and turn my head or if I'm in bed and turn over.

This sounds much more like an inner ear infection or the like. When it is so definitely position-related and movement-related. Time to have a doctor take a look. A really good look. I went through over 6 months of just what you describe after the car accident, despite who knows how many doctors looking me over in general, including ears. Then, when put on an antibiotic for something else, the dizziness went away in less than a week, and never came back. If someone had listened and taken a good look earlier, I could have been spared seven months of stomach-sickening room spinning.

i had ear pain right from the beginning...and off balance but not vertigo until now. Every dr i went to checked my ears and they all say nothing is wrong. I swear I wish I could get my hands on some antibodics -- because it couldn't hurt to try! I'm giving it until next week and then i'm going back to the dr.
