While it is extremely cool, I think the Mona Lisa segment explains it all. The whole thing is manipulated - a "created" video from combining small snippets of other video footage - a big "special effect".

That doesn't detract a bit from its amazingness, coolness and originality; lotta love, imagination, & passion went into that!

Wink

Oh, I believe the actual sheep did the work, but to compress time, there are spots where it is speeded up.

This is a famous video that gets circulated now and then.
We had seen it a while ago, and then a friend sent it to us again.

It is certainly fascinating. It also goes by the title:
"What Shepherds do when bored" or something like that.
I do believe the original was longer, slower, and I'll have to look that up. This version had that compressed feature, which I think was done by Samsung, since they sponsored it and probably use it for advertising commercials in UK. Samsung LED... similar technology to the large LED bill boards in use today I bet!

In any event, it is a fun thing to watch IMO. LOL

LOL! That's absolutely brilliant and made me really laugh out loud. Thanks for posting! I loved it.

I love sheep!

Some types of sheep are more intelligent than others. I have been watching this series for ages called "Beachcomber Cottage" set in Scotland and he bought in some sheep locally and they were so different from the sheep we usually see here.

The sheep were Soay sheep.
.

They looked quite like goats running around his compound and they didn't like to be herded. They were so smart.

(My father's family used to drive sheep half way across our continent on horseback and with dogs.)

I have to know, did they use Australian Shepherds? I'm not being a smarty, they are amazing dogs! I was owned by one for 14 1/2 years.

Hi Barb. In think in the late 1800's here they were using Kelpies and Blue Heelers. The Australian Shepherd dog is a beautiful dog, but I don't think it's actually Australian.

p.s. is that where you get your username? aussiemom?

Yes, I had an Aussie. He was my best friend, my heart dog. Been gone two years, I miss him so much.

Actually, the dogs are thought to have been brought to Australia by the Basque shepherds, then brought to the States in early 1900s, and developed here. No matter, they can do it all. Too smart, beautiful, brawn if needed.

I've never been to Australia, would like to someday!
