Default Symptoms after 5 months

Hello there -

New to the board. Back in December 2011 I had a major concussion but was discharged from the hospital the same day. Now after 5 months after my concussion, I feel dizzy, fatigue and eyes movement were affected for 2 weeks now. Is this normal and what they call PCS? Should I be concerned and check with the doctor?

Any help and advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

tinerloo,

Welcome to NeuroTalk. Sorry to hear of your concussion.

Dizziness and fatigue are common concussion symptoms. Sometimes, the Epley maneuver can help with the dizziness. You can even find a video of it on YouTube. Some people have been successful doing it at home. A hearing and balance center can also be able to help you.

Your vision/eye movement is not descriptive enough. Can you explain more about that symptom?

A common problem from mTBI is called nystagmus. It is where the eye does not scan from side to side smoothly.

Tell us more about yourself and your struggles and maybe we can be of more help.

You should definitely talk about your symptoms with your Doctor if you haven't already.
