Default Scapula and neck problems?

Hi, I've posted here before but now have a new ?...here is my old threads to give you some background

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/sh...light=demodebi

anyway, my scapula is killing me now since the shoulder surgery I didn't need.....my ortho doc is telling me he would of seen something when he when in if there was anything wrong????....I've done some research and apparently this could also be caused from my c-7/t-1 area?????.....

the mri I had that was so screwed up said something about that area (can't remember right now what) he wants to do another mri of my shoulder but this time with contrast and we BOTH knew we didn't want the last place to do it (see old thread) well guess what..yep, that is where they want to send me...

I called them to set it up and told them my concerns....I have decided I WILL NOT GO BACK THERE.......I will be calling my doc in the am to get it arranged at another place...anyplace..

but should I have the mri done on both neck and shoulder?..with contrast????.....It's expensive but I need to find out what is going on!

I had a panlabral shoulder arthroscopic repair/bursectomy/chondroplasty in early 2008 that went way off the tracks. The surgeon permanently damaged my brachial plexus as evidenced from EMG and SSEP testing (twice each) leading to CRPS. Although I had post-surgical evidence of radial and axillary nerve damage at the plexus, I am pretty sure the axillary nerve damage is the culprit for my wicked scapular (mostly lateral border) pain that I did and still do get. Scapular and interscapular pain can also come from a cervical disc or facet issue as well.

In your case, I would probably start with EMG/NCV/SSEP of the involved extremity to weed out the likely area of concern then go after it with MRI/MRA. If plexus injury is a consideration, MR neurogram of the plexus may be instructive.
