I don't know what tos is? I had disc fusion surgery in my neck.Make sure you research your surgeon. That is also very important to have a great surgeon for your success. There are 2 types I know of cadaver bone fusion or your own hip bone fusion. The hip bone one,I was told hurts more.

Default Hi Logan

Checker is right. research the doctor who will be doing the surgery. I do not know about TOS, but the folks here sure have experienced a lot of pain with that after surgery.
I had C3-7 done, my second fusion. It was very very painful for me. In fact I refused to go home from the hospital! They wanted me discharged and the pain was not in control, so I stayed. It took me, about two weeks to start to feel some relief. Nerve pain was gone, but the surgery itself was an OUCH!!!!! Not everybody has such painful experiences with these surgeries, each of us is unique in how we respond to it. I wish you all the best Logan. ginnie

What is TOS? Is it Thoracic Outlet Syndrome? I had the disc fusion in my neck with cadaver bone..I believe it was successful, and got me out of bed.It does not mean it will cure all,I do still have pain and will the rest of my life.

Default Hi Checker

Yes, I had cadaver disks put in all my cervical vertebra. I think TOS is where the rib joins the spine. You either have too many ribs, or at the joint there is a problem. The ribs of course join in the back. You need to ask your doc. if this is something you are dealing with. I sure hope not. Keep in touch. ginnie

I don't think many TOS members read outside of the TOS forum, as overuse of computer is an issue so they have to limit themselves for the most part..
For post op info you'd have to read or ask on that forum.
