Default Severe Body Aches

Do any of you have severe body aches?
My aches and pains started with the TOS
However, lately it has crept up on me 2 fold.
Feels like when I was going through chemo on the bad days.

I'm weeding myself off Lexapro for 2 weeks now
Calling the docs on Monday to se if it has anything to do with it
Or just the painful flares.

Red face heat

I got aches like that, reallly really bad, mostly on the right side before surgery, and still do a little. Meds didn't help except narcotics in a general way. Heat always helped me the most. Specifically, I use thermacare heat pads that stick on and you can walk around with them. I also use old-fashioned plug-in heat pads for when I'm in bed. I cover every part of my body that is having aches with heat.

hope that helps. let me know. luv, annie

Default Hi Cindy..

Achey, That's me... It started about a year after my initial injury and has gradually gotten much worse. Especially within the last 6 months I would say it has gotten to the point where there are days that I ache so badly that I find it difficult to climb the stairs in my house.
I initially felt great after my first TOS surgery and then 8 month after that is when it started to get to me. Then after the re-do I have felt like death warmed over on days... Sometimes I contribute it to my fibro and then other days I wonder if it is the combination of my meds... It seems that my doctors prescribe me these meds but none of them talk to each other...
I finally see my first, "YES" first pain management Doc this Tuesday... YEA I am hoping that he will sort thru these meds and decide which I need and which I don't and if there is something different that I should take instead...
Boy if I could just turn back the hands of time...
I hope your having a wonderful mother’s day with your family...
Many Gentle Hugs
Dawn

Default Answers...

Medically why do our body's ache so much?

Annie,
Thanks for the call
I will try to call you this week
Have been feeling really poopy these last few weeks and don't like to talk when I'm down.
I wish you a peaceful recovery, Annie
Please take your recovery slowly.
Us type A's just don't get what it means to take 2 steps back to get ahead 1 step.
I'm so impressed with what Dr. Sanders surgically did for you.
Thinking of you...
