Default Reinjury to TOS

I had surgery in 1994 for TOS. Removed rib and scalenopy (sp?). I have always had problems but now I slipped and fell and have re-injured my arm. I am having a lot of problems just like before surgery or maybe worse. I know they told me to never fall, but what exactly happens? Does this close up again? I had good doctors in WA state, but now I am in Florida and don't know of any. My medical doctor admitted he knows nothing about TOS.

You could have strained something or even aggravated scar tissue when you fell.
If those drs aren't near you maybe you can call and ask for referral's if they know of any others near you.

Or even any Phys therapy places with advanced therapists might be able to help you or make a referral to an appropriate dr.

What part of Florida are you?

Dr. Dennis Badyk did my TOS surgery. He is at the University of South Florida in Tampa.

He teaches it and is very good. He is a Vascular Surgeon.

Default Thank you

Thank you for the name of the doctor in Tampa. Now I hope my insurance will cover him. I have really bad insurance through my employer. I also will be pursuing legal action for the condo complex since I fell on a damaged stair. I have always been so careful because I never wanted to go through what I did before and now I am facing it again. This is hard!

Great News, the doctor in Tampa is in my insurance plan. I made an appointment and will see what is going on. I am quite worried because of the amount of pain I am in and the tremors in my arm.
