It started rainning before noon yesterday and we sure needed it. I think it rainned most of the night. Grass should green up now and farmers will be glad for the crops here.

I'm going to a Hi Hatters meeting today for lunch. It's like the Red Hatters club only this one just eats out at different places. I invited Marilyn, my pastors wife. She has the right color clothes, mine is lilac instead of purple. I don't have a red hat but one of the members is bring me one for the occaision. It sounds like fun and there are about forty members. Not all show up, I am told, as it is vacation time, & different things are going on.

Thanks for putting little Paulie's pic on for me. I'm feeling kind of spent today, yet it is time to stop crying over the little fellow, and just be glad he didn't suffer. Wish I could have buried him here in our backyard. That was yesterday though and today is a new day, so I will just clean house and think about all the cute things he said and did. Ha, he was so funny!

Planted some small Hummingbird plants yesterday...look forward to them getting big fast, then next year lots of blooms and some hummingbirds to enjoy it. I put up a small trellis, Don will make a bigger one next year. Planting stuff makes me high! I just wish I could garden like I used too! Now there has to be plants that will come back yearly and take care of themselves. Can't really water plants much here in Georgia due to the ever present lack of rain! we have big water bans, only time you are allowed to water is during the night. Not me...I might fall.

Wish I could get on an eating plan and stay on it. Sometimes I don't care and eat eat eat, then other times I KNOW I got to get the weight off so I can continue to walk...and I mean walk only in stores...walking for a mile went long time ago. I just want to be able to walk accros the floor and get out of bed...someday my mind will catch on, I hope, at 65...wel-l-l-l-l it may too late!

Sorry I haven't checked in today. Been a busy gal!
I had to take Todd to work because I needed the car for an appointment and some errands. We found out today what the car's problem is and luckily it is a cheap fix compared to replacing the transimssion. The part is coming in Thursday and should be ready by Friday the latest. I hope.
I also sent out another resume to a marketing company. Not sure if I will hear anything from them. We will see.
That is the update for today.

Hi everyone, I wish we could get some rain here. It has been hot (105+) the last few days. My plants are struggling to make it.

Gaye-sorry about your Paulie. What a cute bird.

Bizi- I replaced my mouse with a rollerball mouse and it has helped with my hand pain. Takes a little getting used to but it has helped.

Billie, have fun at you rmeeting. Tell us all about it when you get back ok.

Went the meeting and it was fun. Just eating Swiss food and talking. I had an e mail buddy there that I just saw at the Pottery Festival but it is nice getting to know her. I knew her husband in school and thats how I met her. I saw some others that I knew from going on Bank bus trips. They are nice people and easy to get to know. They happen to know my parents, as I was orginally from the town they came from. I need to get out more than I have. The food was out of this world. They made some kind of tulip out of chocolate and it even had a chocolate straw, with whipped cream cheese. They had strawberries dipped on chocolate too. It just makes me hungry thinking about it. I would of liked to have the desserts alone! However I eat a ham & swiss sandwitch with potato salad. I may join the group but they do go places that is far from where I live. I can always miss when they do.
