Default Happy Wednesday Morning!

Morning All. I was greeted this morning at 3:15 PST by my husband yelling, "Oh No, Aw S**T!" He had to get up early to drive to another town to get floor tile for a job we are doing. He had to be back in time for the tile layer, who will be arrivng at 8:00 a.m. He made coffee but forgot to put the pot in place so the coffee went all over the counter and was starting to drip onto the floor with the new tile but I caught it with the towel in time. What a mess! But it's now cleaned up and I'm going back to bed for a couple more hours of sleep.

Good morning - good night.

Hi Nancy and Gaye.

Nancy, that was a heck of a way to start your day.

One of my neighbor's son woke me up at 5:30 this morning asking if I had any jumper cables. Mind you, his mom and step dad can not even talk to me but yet the boy comes over here and wakes me up at an acceptable hour.

Morning all!
Nancy! Icky! All that coffee especially at that time of night!
Well I am still working off of monster.com for jobs. I applied for 3 this morning. I have no call backs but I feel like I have some control over what is going on with my search. Unfortunately, I have a gap of 5 years because of being on disability that may work against me. Sigh.
I had to go out and buy a skirt for interviews just in case because all of my other clothes are too small for me right now. Who's idea was it to make those dressing room lighting and mirrors make larger people look terrible???? Made me feel like mud and frumpy. Well I got a new comfortable skirt from Old Navy and now all I have to do is wait.
Waiting sucks.

Have a great day everyone!

Heart

Well it sounds like you all got an early start to your morning. I woke up many times, but didn't get up for good till 9:50. Then I took my dog for a walk. I am going to sweep today if it is the only thing I get done. I am getting down right lazy and its gotta stop. Bear is shedding and I don't want dog hair in my mouth. lol

befuddled, that is awful. It sounds like my neighbors. They put up three signs in their back yard saying No Tresspassing~ Private Property. Now they are saying part of what I thought was my ground is theirs, even where my garage is, is on them, they say. I need to find out, but am dreading it, for if it is true, what can I do? I don't want to tear down part of my garage. They even have a sign in their front door saying stay away. i may end up having to move and I don't want to. This place is perfect for me & I don't bother them at all.

Billie, they sound very rude. All you need to do is go to your town hall and locate the deeds office. There they will show you where the boundary lines of your property are. I am sure that your garage is fine, they are just greedy. Or just don't like people.

Default I'm up

Well, I tried to go back to sleep but couldn't so I just stayed up and got some things done. The tile guy showed up at 10:45 so my husband got up early, early for nothing. Funny thing is he has to drive back up there this afternoon because we finally sold our recumbant excercise bike and part of the deal was delivery. Neither of us can use the bike anymore, (sigh) and we really never did (chuckle) so money in the bank is worth more than a piece of equipment taking up space.

I have Physical Therapy early this afternoon. I will be ready for a nap after that.

Billie - Don't be intimidated by those jerks. Wendy makes a good suggestion and you can also call your realtor. He/she should know if a search was done on the property. When I sold real estate, we always had a plat map and legal description of the property on the offers and also on the final paperwork at closing. Check your closing papers. With all of their paranoid postings, you wonder what they are doing in that house.

Befuddled - I'm sorry your neighbors are so rude. Life is just too short to spend it negatively.

Wendy - What kind of a job are you looking for? Do you have a cover letter to go with your resume? If you do, you can address the gap in time in the letter and make it a positive. (You were able to learn new skills during that time or you were able to read some great books and search the internet to keep up on things, etc.) I don't mean to be nosey, just want to help. When my company closed, I helped my employees with their resumes, cover letters and interview tips. Everyone who wanted a job found one so I was very happy.

Gaye - You are so funny. So glad you are part of this group.

Have a great day all,
Nancy
