Default Paxil : The Mental Health Thalidomide?

I am an ex user of paxil ( seroxat in the UK) and i have good reason to believe that Paxil causes long term neurological damage ..

This drug is very dangerous..

I have set up a blog documenting the Paxil(Seroxat) scandal...

Please check out my blog..

any comments or debate about Paxil would be appreciated , thanks.

Hi Truth! Glad you found your way around the forums. As I said in the Welcome forum, I took Paxil for a long time. It helped me a lot in terms of depression, but coming off of it was pure hell for me and I ended up in the emergency room losing what was left of my mind!

My wonderful P-doc got me off the stuff by titrating over several month's time with the liquid paxil. I literally had to go off it a milligram at a time. My doc said I was one of the worst he'd seen to come off it, but had several other patients who had difficulty as well.

I'm afraid that going off Cymbalta, when that day comes, is going to be difficult as well.

Hey

Well personally I don't trust any psych meds or psychiatrists but thats just me...

I woud be careful of Cymbalta though too..

It has been heavily marketed like the other SSRI's... But as with most SSRI's , they have doubtful benefit but clear risks in the long run...
