Well this week went by quickly!
Yesterday I went to an interview with a staffing company and ended up getting interviewed for a corporate job at the company!
Now keep up with me....this might get confusing while I explain.
I had applied for a job in the staffing companies database that they advertised on Monster.com. So, they called me in to talk with me and discuss opportunities they have for me in the area. She was talking to me about Call Center jobs when I mentioned that I do have adminstrative experience as well. The moment I said that she said that there was a job internally for the company as an on-site liaison between the staffing company and one of their biggest clients!!!! So I was a little shocked and intrigued.
The staffing company's HQ is in California and the client's HQ is here in MA. The client has enough clout that they want someone in their HQ to work with them. So, the recruiter said she would call corporate in CA about me and see where it goes. So I took the testing that they normally give me at the staffng companies and left.
On the way home, I get a call on my cell stating that the person in CA wanted to interview me over the phone. I was about 1/2 way home so, we scheduled a call for about 20 minutes later. I got home and got off those icky nylons and waited for the call. Got the call and it obviously went well because the recruiter called me back about 2 hours later and said I would be getting another call from more higher ups.
So, another phone call, this time from the sounds of it real upper management and it was a conference call! We talked for about 15 minutes and they stated that they would talk to the client contact at the HQ here in MA and he may want to either talk to me on the phone or in person. So, here I am waiting for more phone calls!
Phew! I hope I didn't loose too many people. Things moved so quickly yesterday. One minute I was looking for temp jobs and the next thing I knew I was interviewing for a corporate job.
Someone up there works in mysterious ways!

Wow wendy that sounds wonderful!
and a big jump from a temp job!
How do you feel about the different job?
Is this something that you want at this time?
Just wanted to express these questions because I was offered a different job situation and was flattered but then for me realized that it would be too stressful and take me away from my current position.
But for me...I am not too ambitious and am very much set up in a routine...I am a routine person.
I wish you much success in what ever you do.
This is so exciting hearing about your interviews...fantastic really!
You deserve this...you really do.

Well since I haven't started working yet, it is a big jump either way.
I have gotten another call since this posting and it looks like I have the job. We just need to wait for CA to get working for the day to hear more.
