I think that merging species will happen first. With the knowledge of the genome growing so fast, I think some scientists may make the leap and change basic characteristics of animals, such as giving chimps the ability to speak. Probably in secret, like a B movie.

I'm sure some rogue scientist will pander too your needs. Let me know if he is successful coz I have a pumpkin that needs to be turned back into you know who!!!

In the meantime real science will concentrate on replacing those lost cells from the substantia negra....and all before midnight. Anybody lost a golden slipper?
