when was the last "war" that, and this question appears strange but stick with me, that really was to defend your/our country?
without the influence of politicians telling people why? i am in no way being derogatory to the people that have fought in these wars, i salute you for your courage, but how many have not been for the sake of the very rich protecting their intrests? no idea why just thought i'd ask. |

Oooh, that question is a double edged sword. I believe this war began to protect our interests. Has it been successful? I do not believe so. Could it have been successful? Once again, I do not believe so.
I do not have the answer on how to fight a war on terrorism. Many counties have been attacked, not just the USA. We may have had the largest death toll in one day, but the terror attacks continue. I believe if you added up all the other deaths, 9/11 would not seem such a great number. I do not believe this is a war that can ever be won. But then again, all the wars throughout the ages have never settled anything for the long term. We still live with poverty, famine and oppression world wide. |
