Default PD is a snare

Once you get caught in it, every effort to get out of it only tightens the noose more 'round your neck.

Most well intended help from passers by, ends up tightening the noose further.

Approaching predators make you pull away in desperation, which only tightens the loop further.

Specialists are called to the scene but they are unable to get you out of the rope, but they may offer you some things to make you more comfortable while you wait for a solution or the end.

So, what's a man (woman) to do once he/she gets his/her neck caught in a snare?

Is there any way to get free from a snare?

Note:Hands/feet are unuseable.

Hint: First measure is to lay very quietly, no panic, to asses situation and see what can be done.
But then, what?

Charlie

Remember:

Llimbs are unuseable.

Firemen, police, medics have tried every tool there is to no avail.

The rules are set by Mr.Pee Dee.

This is a serious, very serious game- Indeed, life and death.

Now, give it your best.

DBS falls into: "...they may offer you some things to make you more comfortable while you wait for a solution or the end."

Default Hands and Feet......?

Well, lying there and doing nothing will get you nowhere.
Maybe you're taking too much Requip?? If so, cut down and see if that helps, and I am not kidding, - I do hope you are!!!
Exercise helps, so roll out of bed and do some crawling around on knees and elbows (get pads for both) to get some movement back in the places that still seem to work.
Watch a lot of good DVDs!
Sing!
Tell yourself that you're not giving up.
Yell and rant and **$$%## at the illness, but not at people.
Remember this is nobody's fault.
Again, I hope this is not really a serious question. Don't forget that some of us here are approaching the immobility you describe... you don't say how long you've had PD.... so it is only partly funny.

true....but there is a study out that suggests that DBS MAY stop progression!!
"Conclusions/Relevance: Our data show that untreated PD motor scores do not worsen over time in patients undergoing STN DBS, suggesting that there is no progression of disease severity. These results could be explained either by a ‘natural’ stabilization of PD progression after many years or neuroprotective properties of STN DBS. However, possible study design artifacts, including insufficient stimulation washout times, could have affected these data."

Untying the Gag Order

Can I slide away, ride away, hide, un-decide away
Leaving no clue of my new existence
Undoing, ungluing, excluding the protruding
zit that has become my bane and resistance
My surly, whirly, whacked out behavior
is not hue nor shadow of a once flattering silhouette
Beguiled, betrayed, taken out, my bed unmade
creates thoughts never known to throw out the sheets wet.
The unseen, unclean, scared un-repaired
joke of a body is as foreign as desert
I try to absorb, reward, retard, then discard
This displacement of creation I have to inherit
To fantasize, visualize, scrutinize and penalize
Gives the ball in motion too much room to roll
When it comes down, it hits ground and rebounds
and freshens its mark with a much stronger toll
I freeze, gaze, do a 360 and hurl
To be masochistic is not my cup of tea
My eyes have found skies that He sanctifies
His glory is all I need to find me.
