Default Hi, I'm new here!

Hi, I am Pegs!

I am new and trying to figure this out, so please forgive my blunders. I am glad to discover that there is a site like this for people to get answers and support.

I have Peripheral Neuropathy that began in my right toe over 14 years ago. It had slowly progressed to just the middle of my shins last fall, and has now quickly progressed to both legs and arms. My symptoms vary from hour to hour from just burning sandy-like pain to electrical shocks shooting up my legs, throbbing aches in my limbs, to very painful localized vise-like pain. I am very fatigued and need lots of rest or my symptoms are much worse. I have balance problems and my gait has changed in order to keep myself upright. I am not working and know that I can't now due to the fatigue and the problems I am having with my memory, which I suppose are because of the increase in pain meds.

My life has changed a lot this last year from working full time to hardly being able to manage my home. If it weren't for my very supportive husband I don't know how things would get done.

I am hoping to meet people who have similar symptoms as myself here and gain some information about my condition, and maybe even be an encouragement to others.

Thank you and blessings to all,
~ Pegs

My apologies to Darlene and Dorrie...

Thank you so much for your nice welcome!
I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I want to be able to spend more time here, as the information I can gain is important to me. I just didn't get back on until today though.

Blessings to you,
~ Pegs
