Default Video Journey with Professir X

Thank you for taking this video journey of how I started my work and what I hope to achieve in this purpose to inspiring and saving lives.

Before Christopher Reeve passed away, he opened the door for bringing awareness to spinal cord injury. I wrote a song called I am the X , a song about accepting who I was and not laying in bed all day thinking I was going to just wake up and walk, feel become independent again.

I was at a point in my life where I felt there may be something I can do as well, so with good family and friends they helped me make a documentary called A City Called Heaven. A story on who I was before and after paralysis and how I live, love and achieve goals with people I love. After making that video I entered it in several film festivals and saw how so many people knew very little about paralysis so I wanted to do more I just didn't figure out what else can I do when there was already someone famous who was bringing attention. This video I think help me find my purpose.

After that and not long from finishing promoting the documentary Christopher passed away. A feeling of fear and worry about paralysis came over me, I never thought Christopher would go, I though the world of science would make him walk. That same day after the news went off I just laid in bed. Then something came into my soul and said write a song about him. My friends laughed at me, not in a cruel manor but a way sometimes we react when we don't understand. See it's like this, sometimes we complex our lives by always analyzing every thing we feel instead of letting our feelings guide us and the we sometimes walk around in confusion. I asked God to put my life in his hands so I should trust His lead, so although friends laughed I went on with completing the song. The message I got was sometimes praising someone besides yourself can build who you are bigger then you praising yourself. This is the video.

I then went online to share with others and found a forum I never knew existed. Care Cure Communities was the forum I sent it to. I then got messages to sing the song at a rally in front of Capital Hill in washington, DC. I was in shock but even more when I got there. Still I didn't know my purpose but I knew I had God to thank for my part in this mission Christopher fought for. This is video from Rally.

After attending the rally, making new friends, not only did I learn why everyone was there, to ask our government to help us cure paralysis. But seeing Christopher Reeve's wife cry from the song was the stamp that opened my eyes to purpose. After I got home, I started writing songs to bring awareness and help to cure this challenged. I went to see Dr. Wise Young at his lab in New Brunswick, NJ and I learned about stem cells and what research has studied to use this therapy towards curing all diseases. I then wrote I Believe , a song to promote getting educated before judging what research can possibly do.

Then in time Dr. Wise and Dr. Patricia Morton invited me to perform in Hong Kong at a symposium to bring scientist and doctors together to share what they are studying to help people in their lives towards repairing functions.

That was an experience that God got me through, things I learned just from how the airplanes aren't designed for people with a full limb paralysis. So I came back with a bed sore. Bedsores are dangerous and life threatening. So if anyone in my situation travels, be sure to get two forms of cushions for your butt , your back and side. Ride first class if you flying like I did over 18 hours. But thank God I only had to spend 3 weeks in bed, wasn't easy but I seen worse situations that left people hospitalized or worse. The next song was Bow to Wise, thanking him for his kindness, bringing me to Hong Kong to perform.

Then the 2006 Rally to cure paralysis was coming up and then Dana passed. All of us had to continue to fight, get the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Act passed, keep fighting for a cure. Here is footage from the rally.

Here's the song I did, dedicated to both Christopher and Dana. I believe in fighting for all issues we face from violence to diseases, nothing should keep destroying us. God's original plan was everlasting life, it's up to us to work towards that.

Their relationship inspired me to believe there is someone for everyone. Relationships are all about sacrifice. Even some perfect relationships face challenges in some way. I wrote a song called are you ready. Explaining how I can feel even though I can't physically feel. Learning that there is more to touch then the physical, that I can feel through the mind and spirit. Are you ready opens that door to possibilities.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2E0oVpJSH48

Then it was back to the war on death. I wrote a song called Stem Wars or Who's ore government caring for. A song about how we fight for death and very little for life. That like many disputes after all the arguing and fighting you together again. For example, ever known two people who always fighting and breaking up then getting back together, well that's the message I hoping to deliver, we fight and fight until all we gain is death then we truce once we're oppressed, so think about it, is killing each other really worth it when we realize the only win is in unity.

Then Jason McElwain know as J-Mac inspired me even more, I have a Godson with autism and he's my best friend, still a kid, needs guidance and taught to appreciate the things you have but their for me when I need him. Here's to J-Mac for inspire the world and showing us possibilities

I had the 2007 Rally where I met Daryl Mitchell, Groove B-Chill who also became injured, this song called No Stopping because no matter what we face, there's no stopping us

ps
I do think it is important for me to add here that nomatter where one may stand on the ESCR debate, my comments above are not related to the politics or the religious debates over that, nor stating my feelings on that issue, but rather my post is intended to highlight the good professirx does in so very many areas, and to applaud his attitude to life and his caring for others.
