Question At least they're not snakes

Just wondered if anyone has had the great experience of being bitten by an unknown species of spider. I called the doctor on Monday the 26th and told him I was lunch for the critters. We hardly ever see a spider in the house but there was a renegade spider who knew me well. I counted 16 bites and some are bigger and worse than others. In one area , we actually have to change bandages every few hours. We tried squeezing it and a bunch of yuk came out .
Now it won't stop seeping. It is red from under my arm pit to the middle of my breast. I told my husband that it feels like a severe sun burn.
This is Wednesday and I was going to see if I could be seen by my Doctor
but he is not in on Wed. He did get me started on an antibiotic on Monday over the phone. I feel miserable because I also have an ear infection. I do occasionally have problems with my ear. This is the side that is numb due to severing of the trigeminal nerve. Not only that nerve was severed but the nervus Intermedius was also sacrificed. That nerve has a close relationship
with the ear. I had to have a tube put in 2 yrs.ago.
Due to the numbness on that side I also have had 3 surgeries on my eye, because it was not producing tears on its own. Believe me, I had cried a lot.
It is very cool and windy out so I have all 7 dogs in the house. It is very quiet as everybody is resting. You might find it very difficult to imagine how
all these dogs can act properly in the house, but you don't know my dogs...
I need to go tend to my bites. I'm going to try to get in the Dr.s tomorrow
Time to go. Truely, Doodle bug7

Ooo I'd suggest

I would suggest you go into the doctor ASAP.

Spiders do not bite you 16 times. A chigger bite might cluster, but 4 or 5 tops.

With MRSA out there today, and the redness you describe, it sounds like
cellutitis to me.

Squeezing is the worst thing you can do... it drives the bacteria deeper into the skin, where more damage can occur.

You might have shingles, but at least what you describe sounds serious to me with the red sunburned look..that is cellulitis. What antibiotic were you given?
If this is MRSA no oral drug will work. If it is shingles, you need Valtrex.

I don't want to alarm you, but I think this is very serious.

Someone with so many dogs may get flea bites, but still fleas prefer the animal to you.

Feeling ill as you are, you cannot separate the ear from the skin lesions. Don't let this get away from you.
Cover the weeping area with a bandaid --after cleaning with hydrogen peroxide. Put some triple antibiotic on
the weeping lesion and then the bandaid.

Default Checking things out

Hi, thankyou for your comments about the thread "It could be snakes".
I got in to the Doc.on Thursday morning. As I just started 2 new meds he was wondering if It was an allergic reaction . No cellulitis. No shingles. The dogs don't
have fleas, as they are treated every month with Frontline. He took a swab, which will be sent out for testing.

Time to go Doole Bug 7
