Smile Hello all!!!

Hi there friends!
Sorry I have been away. I had my sixth SGB on the 3rd. of January, and this is why I have not been on as of late. It didn't take this time! The last one I had, I was in remission for 2 weeks and 3 days. I am having loads of pain, but still hanging in there. I wish all of you a happy, good, pain free New year! Much love to all~Desi

oh desi i am so sorry the sgb wasnt as effective as it had been before. did your doc alter the mixture of meds they injected...the only reason i ask is because over the years i have had intrem docs while my real ones were out of town who used different ingredients for their block. my pain doc has also switched things out a couple of times after reading about the superior effects of the new solution....needless to say we went back to the tried and true old school method that has been proven to work.
good luck
you are so close to that moment in a pain patients life where they know its there but it doesnt interfere with what they are doing i truely hope your docs can figure it out and get you back on track

Hi Desi,
I'm new here - you responded earlier about my son. I'm sorry the procedure you had didn't work - you are in my thoughts.

Heart Sorry Desi

I'm so sorry Desi!
Will you be having another one soon?
Are you in worse pain than before?

I'm going for my very first SGB on Wednesday, I'm extremely nervous. They accidentally had me scheduled for a Steroid Epidural Injection in my Cervical...luckily that was resolved. I'm not sure what the outcome of that would have been like. (Yikes)

But anyways...I'm so sorry, you must be extremely frustrated. I'm hoping you have pain free days ahead.

xoxo

GHL

Thank you everyone!! I'm backkkkkkkkk!! The block still did not do the job. My doc. had to add vicodin ES along with the fenatyl patch(For the break through pain) Anyway, wake girl.. thanks.. my doc. used the same med before(The one that put me into remission for 2 weeks and 3 days) this time, it didn't work at all. well, in the first 20 min. I felt the warmth and that was it, no pain for 20-30 min. the pain came back pretty hard after that. he wants to do yet another block (this will be 7th.) I don't even know if I wanna have it! LOL He did use the same med he used before, hoping this one would put me into remission longer. I mean I had this a yr. ago on Jan.9th. was dx very early(in April) and started the blocks May 1st. still.. what the heck??!Thank you again for your reply back WG~Love, Desi
