I take baclofen for jerking and muscle spasms and it works really good and generic vicodin for pain, it works not very well at the moment, I need my mg raised finally after 2 years. But up till now, it's worked at keeping my pain tamped down enough so I can function.

Hugs,

Karen

Default Meds I'm taking

Hi to answer u question
I take:
Opana ER synethtic morphine oxyconmorphine-80mg twice a day. this drug has saved my life . I have been on this for the last 10 days. took my pain form a 9-10( i was in crisis for a whole month) to a 4. During this crisis my PM droctor tried everything, fentynal patched, did nothing, uping my oxycontin to 100 mg taken spread out 3x per day- this helpd but only brought pain dowon to a 7-8, not low enough.
Finally he tried this new med, OPana ER and POW relief!!! He also took me off my neurotin , 1800 mg a day and put me on 150mg of Lyrica twice a day and burning pain was controlled immmediately. I feel this combinaiton is a miracle workder and recommend it for everone who can to try!
I also has a ketamine infusion ever two months- big boosters- two days or three in Philadelphia- this also reduces my pain. significantly.
I still have breakthroug pain and I take 10/325 Percocet as needed up to 4 per day max,as needed
I take 50mg or Bacolfen twice a day for spasms and charlie horses that can las over a half hour( helps but not perfect)
I take topamax to control migraines 50mg twice a day( this works 100%)
I take ativan(lorzenpan) three times a day 2mg to settle me down and to control flash backs from the ketamine. I am one onf the people who experience pretty severe flash backs and hallucinations from the ketamine boosters.Hope this information willl help someone. the opana saved me.
So to simplify:
[*]Opana ER 80 Mg 2x a day[*]Percocet 10/325 [*]Ativan 2mg 3x per day as needed( to control flash backs, hallucinations, and heart rate.[*]Baclofen 10 mg twice per day- spasms, charlie horses, shooting pains, works pretty good.[*]Cymbalta 50 mg at bedtime(dont know if it is working)[*]Topamax 50mg twice a day for migraines ( works really well)[*]Lyrica (New for me) 150mg twice a day[*]Phennegran spellling? for Nasusua as needed( usually twice a day) I have GI problems from RSD-works well[*]Lunesta 3mg at bedtime( sleep aid) works well

Default Tegratol?

Nope but my son was on it for seizures.. I do remember one of the side effects of long term use at the doses he had to be on was protrusion of front teeth, a dental bone thing, we never kept him on that one long (though it worked well while it worked). I know others do take it for RSD, but this is my experience with it. hmm I remember reading something (i wsh I was more organised lol) I will find it later.

Hugs,
Sandra

ahh here it is near the end of this page on Tripple C syndrome (also an RSD)

Default Tegretol

CZZ74; it was Tegretol

Sandel; Thank you, I have used Tegretol for 6 years without any side effects.
It is such a lifesaver for me, and over all this years I have never heard anyone on the different boards talk about taking Tegretol for RSD/CRPS.

Thank you for the link, Ihave Small fiber neuropathy in my feets/lower legs(CRPS is in upper body) and the symptom for Sfp is the same as Triple C Syndrome, never heard of that name.

1. Cold hypoesthesia - patients don't feel the cold. They cannot distinguish cold from pain. This keeps me indoors wintertime, I live in a cold country.

2. Cold hyperalgesia - cold hurts. Yes

Ketamine 100mg-150mg/day
Dihydrocodeine (similar to Vicodin I think?) - 80mg 3/4 times day
Diazipam up to 20mg day
Baclofen up to 110mg day
Paracetemol 1mg 4x day
Nortriptylene 30mg night
Ibuprofen 400mg 3x day
Trihexyphenidryl 38mg day

I personally think that the ketamine is the most useful drug I have ever used - far more effective than morphine, oxycontin or anything else - it has made such a difference to me and my quality of life. Well. I don't think I'd be at uni without it. Have you tried things like amytrip/ nortrip? or catapres/ clonidine?

Take Care

Love
