Geeez, Cloud, this is a hard one. For the first time, I am seriously considering splitting the ticket. I'm going to hold out until I know more about the final candidates. Anymore, it seems more like I'm picking the one I think will do the least damage, not choosing one I want.

I'm surprised this isn't getting more action, maybe everyone else is as befuddled as I?

This surprises me -- in my eyes, Edwards and Huckabee are miles apart.
When it comes to elections, I take the priviledge of voting very seriously and try to be as informed as possible. basing my decision on the issues and also who I think is most likely to execute their agenda (I don't think this always goes hand in hand). I am registered in one party so I can vote in the primaries but at the end of the day, I vote for the candidate I feel will do the best job, regardless of affiliation. As far as the issues go, here is a one site where you can see where they stand: http://www.ontheissues.org/default.htm This one's a quiz that I saw someone post on another board. I took it twice -- the first time I answered everything and ranked their importance and the second time, I left out a few issues and didn't rank at all. Same result both times. Your results may surprise you!. http://www.wqad.com/global/link.asp?L=259460 Last but not least is a place I especially love to go after a nice juicy debate. No candidate is immune to getting it wrong and this site usually breaks it down nicely: http://www.factcheck.org/ Hope some of these links are helpful to those of you who are undecided. |

For myself I know it will be a Republican (my choice I mean) because there are no Democrats I'd even consider voting for in this election. Mostly, for my part, and for many in my peer group ...we are tired of this race which has gone on what feels like forever. Essentially they all like the 'Change' buzzword, but none really say what changes will be made. Regardless of who is President it all depends on the make up of the Congress since they have to vote on all the Prez' bills. I'm not able to make up my mind; I wish I could take the first four republicans and meld them into one. Tootsie

For me it will be hopefully, Edwards. If not Edwards, Clinton.
I've had ample time to research (due to this relapse LOL) and these are the two candidates that I feel, in my not so humble opinion, have the middle and not so middle classes interests at heart. I also feel that they are the most "electable". This is one of the most interesting elections in history! A woman and a an African American in the same race. Times are changing, thank goodness. I don't want to argue at all. I'm just a little too tired to debate right now. Maybe another day, LOL .

In every quiz I've taken on the issues which are facing America - Romney is my best choice - his values are closest to mine - I agree with Tootsie - I would not consider any of the Democrats -

Didn't realize until now but there's another quiz on the "On the Issues" page I posted above. Interesting -- my results were slightly different on here but at least my candidate of choice does keep on coming in close to the very top.

Same for me at this quiz. Romney was at the bottom. No surprise for me there.
