Default How to get an MRI with my Hmo --Kaiser

I have been to see two doctors at Kaiser, my HMO and have had no luck getting them to refer me to a MRI so that we can better diagnose my lower back problem. I think they don't want to spend the money but it seems otherwise it is all guesswork on their part. Any suggestions on how to request the MRI?
Thanks Dixmo

I have Kaiser too Dixmo...I had one Neuro surgeon tell me to do stretches, and on a second opinion to another doc, he did MRI, and found 2 discs were totally shot... My best advice for kaiser, is to exaggerate your pain level...sounds stupid, but if they see your quality of life dropping, they seem to get on the ball..On me, they finally operated on my upper back, c5/6 and 6/7, and I am much better.
Good Luck and be well!
Dave
