i take it the cousin name is Blitzed.

as a child my family had a Shetland Sheepdog named Blitzen, back in the 60s

she was named half-after the reindeer, and half after the Blitz-Weinhard Brewery.

I believe that's where the term "blitzed" came from... having one too many Blitzes.

Blitz - Weinhard started brewing in 1856... and later made Henry Weinhard's, a beer I was rather fond of in college.

der Blitzen in German means "flash." We named her this because it also means lightning, and her white marks looked like lightning. She is neither, as you can see, sleeping most of her life away, and eating or begging food the rest of it! She purrs on occasion.

Ahhhh, absolutely beautiful. What a beautiful coat, and beautiful piddies, and beautiful eyes, and beautiful face, and...well just a gorgeous furbaby!
