Default It's a new beginning...

For me that is.

Due to the very rare reaction I had to the provigil, I am no longer allowed to take any of the meds to help fight my fatigue. I'm having to learn to deal with it the old fashioned way. (can coffee be taking through an IV? LOL )

Because of this, yesterday was my last day. Bittersweet. My boss was a great lady and I enjoyed working for her, but I was beginning to struggle. Even at part time, I'd come home completely wasted.

Now I am home and coming up with ideas to keep me busy. LOL, promised hubby I wouldn't become a hermit so thinking of joining the Y near us and maybe taking a class in Tai Chi.

Just wanted to share this new crossroad I am on. Thanks for listening.

Good for you! I know you'll find lots of stuff to keep you busy. It doesn't look like I'll be working very much after we move overseas this summer. I'm really looking forward to having all sorts of me-time, getting better at my hobbies, learning a new language, and just generally having fun (you know all those things you never get to do because you have to work for a living)

Congrats on entering the crossroads in a positive way - I'm sure you'll miss work, but this will be a grand adventure!

Ah, Fin, it is so bittersweet, that's for sure. But! There is so much to do and there are so many new opportunities around every corner! You'll be great and be able to feel great without that added pressure of the job. Once you find your new rhythm, look out world!

I've recently stopped working, too. It was quite a shock after having worked since I was 16 years old (I'm 47).

I've found, though, that I don't miss the day to day office "drama" and politics. I loved my job but it was time to stop.

There's something else for me out there....not sure what it is just yet....but I'll find it.

Good luck to you!!

I also have recently "retired". A combination of MS and other health conditions made work no longer a viable option for me. I'm glad to hear you're feeling positive about the move. I hope the fatigue now starts to improve for you.

Can coffee be taking through an IV? Sure can!
