Hi,

My name is Barbo and I lost my daughter to complications from MS four years ago. I have been reading at these forums for some time. It gives me comfort to see other people who fight this disease so bravely and gracefully.

Hi, Barbo! I'm glad you've finally decided to step in and say something! I have felt your presence looking upon us and had sincerely begun to wonder if it was DM's breath, or something she said. Hm. Might have been her cooking... Well here nor there, I'm glad you have joined us.

I'm sorry to learn of your daughter, I lost a friend the same way and it just never gets easier.

What was your daughter's name, and please do tell us of her personal hallmarks.

I hope you'll celebrate her life in laughter and smiles with us!

Hi Barbo - nice to meet you. Sorry you had to deal with the loss of your daughter... Glad you stepped up and said hello.

Sit back and relax a while - this place can be the best place around if you let it! Enjoy!

Barbo I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter.

Thank you for the beautiful compliment. I never thought that being told I have an incurable disease would open so many doors to great friendships. Everyone here is so caring and understanding......so much like a family. I don't post as often as I should but when I do I am always welcomed with open arms.

Welcome to the "family" pull up a chair and sit a while.

My daughter's name was Pam and she was an extraordinary woman (thanks for asking!) She was an artist, a writer a poet and operations manager in the warehouse of a well-known southwest Michigan furniture plant. She was on her way up, up, up when MS got her. She tried working a couple of years after her diagnosis, then it became too challenging for her. For two years I lived with her to help out. She had four cats and a dog and was a regular contributor to the Humane Society. Oh, I forgot to tell you that she was also a Marine - and what a proud one. I'd better stop now - more later.

Hi yeahbut - I love your name! Thanks for the greeting! I have only had my computer a year so the forum isn't the only thing new to me! Have you posted here for a long time? It'll take me a while to get familiar. Barbo

Barbo, thanks for sharing your story about your daughter Pam. I can tell how much you loved her, what a proud Mom you are, and how much you miss her. I am sorry about the loss of this beautiful person that meant so much to you.

Definitely post more often. No more going in to hiding. LOL.

Hi Suzy - it is true. So many of you just fly in the face of MS (which is what it deserves!) Now if we could just gett our hands on more stem cells - who knows?? Are you on any of the ABC's - or whatever they are calling them now. Gotta' go! Barbo
