When after doing the rounds of dentists, physiotherapists, a cranio facial surgeon and finally a doctor who diagnosed the problem, I didn't know whether to be relieved for knowing what the problem was or terrified knowing the implications of this illness. My doctor is also a highly skilled acupuncturist and a homepath. He started treatment using both these methods. The pain increased after the first treatment which is a good sign he said. It gradually lessened by the second treatment but once again flared up although not to the same extent. Again it reduced this time to a very manageable level and I was able to stop the strong pain medication.:) (which was making me feel groggy and disorientated). The third treatment ended all pain and symptoms in general. I went for a walk on the beach the day after in an icy wind, brushed my teeth thoroughly, drank hot coffee (some of the things that would have normally set it off) with not the slightest twinge.I really implore you to explore this alternative with a skilled practitioner.
