Red face Im gonna explode

All right.... Im sitting here at my computer taking a well deserved break.
I have so much to do....I shouldnt be but I need to whine and maybe
get some support. Ill say Im sorry for bogging you all down
with this ahead of time.

Last week my ds18 graduated and it was a circus the whole week. I
also made a brilliant executive decision to adopt a dog last week.
She is amazing but lots of extra work.

Two weeks ago I was designated a supervisor for my bff's visitation
with her daughter. She really messed up. Im doing this for her
dd who doesnt deserve any of this. My bff is doing okay....she
better or Ill have to kill her. They will be staying for dinner and
a sleepover tonight.

My ds16 started a new job this week......he works 4-11:30. I have
to pick him up so I havent been to bed before midnight all week(bear with
me folks, Im old)

I have 75 peeps coming to a grad party for my oldest on Sunday. I
used to be a caterer in my other life but everything is taking a toll
on me physically. My muscles are screaming and Im peeing all the
time like a race horse. All my tricks in my med cabinet are not working
too well. I hope Ill be better after the dust settles.

Today is clean my house day(all 5 bedrooms and 4 baths). Next time
Im seriously going to hire a housekeeper to come in and help me. Really,
I am. Im also going to do all my baking and freeze it in my extra freezer.
Then tomorrow Im gonna have help to set up tents and tables etc. outside.

On the flip side my kids are all healthy and great.(knocking on wood).
Please send me a special thought(I hate to use up prayers for this stuff)
that I get thru the weekend without too much damage done.

If you made it this far.....thanks so much.

soxmom.....out.

soxmom, I feel for you I really do. My son's graduation party isn't until the end of the month but it is still absolutely crazy around here too.

We more or less adopted another dog too uggh!!!(go's outside sits around, comes inside and pees on the floor)

I forgot to order a tent tables and chairs for my gathering I don't know what I was thinking!!!

I was on the phone and internet all day yesterday. Every where I called they were already reserved for that day. OMG I was freakin out.

Finally called a ma and pop place and was lucky enough to reserve what I needed. (the poor lady on the phone felt sorry for me I think)

I don't even have a menu planned yet!!

soxmom I am sure everything will fall into place a you will have a wonderful time and your party will be a hit.

(can I get all your leftovers?)

Wow!! You are my hero!!!

You really do have a full plate and even the healthiest person would find it hard to keep up!

I really think you should say "NO" to the next person that asks you to do something, though.

I'll be sending energizing thoughts to you!!!

Hey Sox~ I remember when we had my 2 kid's grad parties. I fretted, ran around, cleaned, fretted, cooked, baked, fretted, panicked... (did I mention FRETTED?) And, it rained on the day of both of their parties. We were set up in the big garage and guess what~~~ everything went great!

All my fretting and worrying was for naught. No one even came indoors, except a few women to use the restroom. People are coming to congratulate the Grad, not check for dustbunnies under the beds. Please don't overdo today, OK???

Everything will fall into place for you, so please PACE yourself, ask for help and make things as easy as you can on yourself.

Most importantly ~So glad your kids are all doing fine.

(PS~ when I get worked up over something, I piddle alot too; what's w/that????)

You'll be fine! Calm down, prioritize, and remember that 74 of the 75 won't have a clue what to expect. The people coming will be there to enjoy one another, the hooplah and any food will be absolutely fine. To most of your guests, I'm sure that your version of mediocre is their version of 'WOW!'

Give yourself a break, it will be great!!!!!

It may not be too late to call a house cleaning company. If I were you, I'd sure try to get someone to come and take that burden off of you. I cannot imagine how long it would take to clean a house that big. I can't even manage 3 bed / 2 baths.

Whatever you decide, good luck. I'm sure it will all be fine and you are going to be the ONLY one to notice if everything isn't absolutely perfect. We are always our own worst critic, you know?

Soxmom: I got a great idea

Since hopefully the party is outside......
Clean your bathroom spic and span and even go out and buy those nice little throw away hand towels. Burn pretty smelling candles and..........

shut all the doors in the rest of the house.

No one will be the wiser, unless of course you have really nosy guests and then you are back to thinking about hiring a cleaning service

Thanks guys. As I was cleaning our patio room, I thought ya know,
I could clean the bathroom by our back door...Gotta have that one
for the people who are wet from the pool. And maybe clean the other
first floor bathroom.

then i thought id keep all who were inside to the down stairs. Ive just
gotta try to keep the little ones outside and not in their rooms. Because
then the parents have to go check on them and wander thru the up
and down stairs.... So..... Ive decided to leash all the children. What
do ya think?????
