Default My Son Is Moving Back Home

My oldest son Matt (the police officer) is moving back home - at least temporarily. Seems he and his girlfriend think they need a break from each other. No hard feelings and they are still speaking so that's a positive. I really, really like her and I hope they can work things out.

Kevin is excited about it because they both are big into weight training and now he has a workout buddy.

I'll have to go explain to my neighbors that his police car will be parked in my driveway. Don't want them to think I'm getting into trouble!!

Ya'll pray for us.....it's been four years since we've all lived in the same house together........

Kelly, Sometimes it's good to take a little break. Better now than if they were married.

Hopefully everything will work out. Take care.

Oh I am sure you are loving that he is moving home! I am dreading the day when my DS moves out (although he told me when he was 8 that he and his wife would move in and just live with me) So cute! It is great that you like her. That is hard to come by. Hopefully they will work it out.

I'm sure that is what the neighbors will think! You are such a trouble maker

herekitty1960,

One of my sons is a police officer, too. I think I'm finally free of them but they did return a few times for different reasons. I have a fridge magnet that one of them bought me and it says, "I child-proofed the house... but they're still getting in" and there's a picture of a little bear crawling through a cat flap. It'll be fun for a while but don't be too sympathetic, you might never get rid of him.

Hey, Party at Kell's~~ At least we won't get the Cops called on us!!!

That's why kid's, even adult ones always call the place where their parents live HOME. I'm sure all will be fine. and you'll enjoy having your family back together. *for however long he stays*

*I say, Keep the neighbors guessing~ they'll think your'e one wild chick!!

I've always told my boys that they can always come home. I cannot imagine the feeling of knowing that you aren't welcome in your parent's home.

I know there are all kinds of situations and not everyone would be happy to see their 25 year old son coming back home - but I don't mind. We all get along and they are both so good to me.

Like the saying goes.....give them roots and wings. Wings to follow their dreams and roots to come back to.

I think this is great news for you but probably not so great for Matt. I hope he and J can work things out . I know you will appreciate his help right now too. Hopefully, the 'boys' will work opposite shifts so they don't spend too much time together, LOL.

Enjoy yourselves. I did a brief stint(2 years) at home in my late twenties
with my two small sons. It really was quite nice.
