Default Dogs are my favorite people

We have two chocolate labs named Candie & Ginger, they are like children to us and they simply light up our lives. We all live on the east end of Long Island and our two girls are crazy about the beach. It's is unfortunate we have strict laws here and we have to keep them on a leash and they do so much want to tare down the beach at light speed. But we do have those "extended" leach's and we give them as much lenghth as we can. They are still happy to be there dispite the leash.

In the future I will post pic's!

Don

Can't you just "accidentally" drop the leashes? A lot?
.

We have two chocs. next door, one is 7 months old and very strong willed. I have a pointer. We are bad parents and she usually ends up in the bed by morning, in the middle.

Heart Hey....

I love dogs too. We have a Black and White, English Springer Spaniel, called Jack who is 10 months old.

We got him after we sadly had to have our other Springer Spaniel, who was 13 years old put to sleep due to a cancerous nasal tumour - it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do.

Jack sleeps on our bed and is spoilt rotten - just like our old dog was!!! They are so loving and always know when you don't feel too good and how to cheer you up!!

I love chocolate labs too - before we got Jack, we were either going to get a Springer Spaniel, Labradour or a Collie.

I'm looking forward to seeing the photos
Alison

They are so pretty, Don! AYUP, dog spoiler here too! We have 2 black and tan mini doxies. One is 13 and really showing her age and the other is 10 yrs, but acts like 10 months. They are our "girls" too!

One sleeps w/us and the other w/my DS when he is home. They give us so much joy. One's even flying w/us to NC next wk. The older gal is going to DS's. *if he kept the lil one, he'd get evicted from his apmt, as she has separation issues when I'm not home*

Did I mention SPOILED??

Don, those babies are gorgeous and thank you so much for sharing! Oh my, I just love big doggies but I can't have a large dog where I live. I adopted a red doxie in March. She was 4 years old on the 13th. I tell ya, if you want a challenge, get a doxie, LOL!
