Default Rolled my foot, Balance & PCP

Felt better Monday night so Tuesday morning decided to go for a small walk before work with a friend. Lost my balance (surprise surprise) and rolled my right foot - didn't fall just rolled my foot and caught myself! Foot hurt but I kept going and didn't think about it.

As the day went along it started to hurt worse but it wasn't swollen, red or bruised so I just took some Ibuprofin and went along working. Tuesday night really hurts, but of course Wednesday when I got up it wasn't so bad so I walked again before work.

When I went for my checkup with my PCP I asked her to look at - she thinks I pulled a tendion but wanted me to keep an eye on it. If it bruised, got swollen or worse pain to call her or go to the ER over the weekend. She explained with the Steroids they weaken your bones.

When I told her today I was leaving for the North Maine Woods - 150 miles North of any ER she gave me that look of hers and said to be very careful - I got the whole Steroid weaken your bone lecture again, how I am not to hike on any tough terrain, be careful getting in and out of the boat, and don't fall! And then she said "have fun and relax you deserve it". I love her!

This morning it is bruised! I will call before I leave and let her know, not swollen just bruised!

Have a great 4th of July everyone! I will take lots of pictures and talk to you all on Monday!

Take care of that foot.....but have a wonderful time. And relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Sometimes the best vacations are ones taken far, far away from "civilization" and the rat-race.

YB - Have a great time! I look forward to seeing your pictures when you get back.

I hope the foot issue works out and you are able to hike in rougher terrain, get in that boat no problem, etc., etc.

Char
Been there, done that (ankle roll). Still paying the price. Please be careful this weekend. Maybe and ace wrap or brace from a drug store might be a good item to pack, just in case. Oh and ice.

Anyway, have a teriffic time, hope the weather cooperates.

Wear the good boots, lambchop and do what you want, dangit. If it hurts, cut back on the use. I've done it several times myself and you'll know for sure when it hurts too much. Have a blast knowing there is at least one Michigander who is totally jealous and pouting all weekend.
